![]() ![]() Although the difference now is that a lot of the people that are around Bee now are getting involved as well, like the world she knows is colliding with theirs, which I really like! I liked more involvement with the Wizard's, and with Cardamon and Toast too. It's still the same show of a girl and her cat (dog? space cowboy?) thing going to planets and working for money (17 cents). I still felt the general feeling that the first season (can we call the OG 10 that?) had with it's quirky writing and laid-back attitude, although I think that's because they were made closer in time to the original than the new first 3, along with just being WAY longer. I did really enjoy a lot of the new episodes, that clued me in to more of this "island", and it feels more lived in now than it did before. Now for the rest of the episodes, I'm gonna glaze over a lot because I have watched all of them only once and in a short period of time (finished like 30 mins before writing). But that's enough about the first 3 episodes, I'm sure everyone's gotten an earful. So my advice to newer fans would be to watch everything anyway! I liked making a headcanon of still having the original series in mind, but adding the parts from the lazy in space "remake" in that weren't there, kind of like a puzzle. I agree with this, however, I did like the story bits that they added. Since I hadn't watched (or known about) any of the leaked episodes until they popped up on Netflix, I was pretty excited for these! I realize that the general consensus of fans on the first 3 episodes was that they were a worse retelling of the original. Anyway, I know the show was just released, but I'd love to hear other people's theories to make sense of this show. Even so, I'm not convinced just yet that Sticky is the princess. There's evidence that Sticky is more than your average dog (and given that puppycat was transformed from a man to a cat-dog creature, I could see there being a parallel with the princess). I'd also like to know who the princess is. The episode where he's dreaming about his past, gets shot with the bullet, and then- after he wakes up- the bullet comes out of the flower makes me think the curse is coming to an end. (To me, it seems pretty clear he's the baby outlaw, but since they're intentionally keeping it ambiguous, I'm not 100% sure.) And I don't understand what happened with the warlocks in the end or how Puppycat's backstory plays into all of this. ![]() We find out Cardamom's mom is Violet in the last episodes and she knows Bee's father-and so does Puppycat, apparently- but we're not told who her father is. For example, Crispin and Bee lived together, but we don't really know why. I'm curious to hear theories because there's so much that the characters seem to know but isn't exposed to the audience. Part of me believes it is all meant to feel unusual and somewhat out of place, like we’re comprehending this new landscape much like the characters are in spite of how casual they are about everything.I've only seen the Netflix version, disclaimer, and I'm a fan of what I saw. It reminds me of classic anime dubs from several decades ago, and that energy permeates throughout both the incredible visuals and vocal performances of each character. Each one is intentionally bizarre and filled with imaginative imagery that pulls us into a dreamlike sense of nostalgic wonder. These hustles might involve looking after a giant baby, fixing a music box, or making donuts with the ability to grant wishes. Turns out her new pet is also capable of interdimensional travel, and quickly transports them to Temp Space where they can take on random jobs in exchange for pennies. ![]() Suddenly, an alien creature that speaks in fractured vocaloid emerges from a pink portal in the sky before collapsing on the rain-drenched pavement. In the rain, she wishes for a pet, or something she can take care of that will give her a responsibility that isn’t her own wellbeing. She returns home and realises she has no way to make money and no real purpose in life beyond cleaning up after her own mistakes. I won’t spoil where Lost in Space goes, but here’s a basic rundown of the first three episodes - Bee is fired from her job at a local cat café after starting a fire. ![]()
